As a health and wellness life coach, I take pleasure in being an attentive observer of the coherence between human discourse and behavior. This allows me to guide my clients toward their overall well-being. I am happy to have contributed to the achievement of short, medium, and long-term goals for a large majority of my clients. Humbly, I must also admit that some have discontinued their journey halfway through, which has led me to reflect deeply on the reasons behind their abandonment.

Here’s what I’ve observed: During the implementation of agreed-upon success strategies, I notice striking similarities in the inconsistencies between the words and actions of the individuals I meet through virtual coaching. These individuals seem genuinely interested in moving toward better health and wellness but repeatedly fall into the emotional trap set by the fast pace of society and its glorified mental and physical performance demands. This ultimately drives them to their own decline. Exhausted by their daily lives, these “coachees,” victims of social recognition, abandon their pursuit of personal health and wellness at the first significant disruption to their routine. I empathize deeply with their situation.

In short, many external factors influence us and affect our judgment, causing us to neglect our overall health. It’s a steep price to pay when we consider that health is our greatest wealth.

I invite you to pause for a moment. Now, open your heart to humility and vulnerability, recognizing that this challenge haunts most of us. Admittedly, we often struggle to commit to the positive change required for a better quality of life, one we all aspire to. Let’s acknowledge this truth. My “coachees” frequently face challenges similar to our own, in one form or another. After all, we are all part of the same human species, strong yet fragile in our diversity.

As a health professional and coach, I firmly believe that effort toward good health strengthens our life experience. Conversely, neglecting health weakens it. Therefore, it is our responsibility to be our own superheroes, to do everything in our power to save ourselves, and to do so with great urgency. It’s time to restore our health and quality of life and to say no to what harms us. In a society that is becoming increasingly unwell, it is vital for us to think and act differently. Our urgent cry for help is “Health at all costs,” recognizing that it is priceless.

I have many touching stories from my practice to share, where the characters will remain anonymous but will undoubtedly resonate with your reality and the challenges you face. Let me share the inspiring story of Isabelle, who dared to take the first step toward her health and wellness goals.

Isabelle’s Journey to “Health at All Costs”

I met Isabelle in my virtual office. She is a teacher by vocation, passionate about helping her students grasp the material despite the challenges of her classroom environment. Isabelle regularly participated in school-organized activities to strengthen her bond with her students. However, a few years ago, she suffered a severe knee injury during a teacher-student ski event. This event was traumatic for her. Isabelle took several months off teaching to complete her rehabilitation, attending a clinic to recover fully. Thankfully, she regained her health and returned to teaching.

Despite her recovery, Isabelle was frustrated by her inability to stand in front of the classroom for extended periods as she once could. Health professionals had advised her to engage in light to moderate physical training regularly to strengthen her muscles and ease her daily activities. Though she acknowledged the benefits of training, Isabelle hesitated, terrified of injuring herself again in a commercial gym. The thought alone made her anxious.

Determined to overcome her fears, Isabelle searched online for an intimate space where professionals could cater to her specific needs. She found hope when our website met her requirements and contacted us to schedule a virtual consultation. Isabelle’s goal was clear: to regain “Health at all costs.”

During our consultation, Isabelle expressed her physical issues, fears, and needs with clarity. Based on her specific case, I recommended a two-phase action plan. The first phase involved private, one-on-one training sessions with one of my coaches specializing in rehabilitation, helping her rebuild confidence in her physical capabilities. Once ready, Isabelle would transition to semi-private training sessions with a maximum of three participants, ensuring sustained attention to her condition while benefiting from group motivation.

Excited by the plan, Isabelle began her journey a few days later. Meeting Isabelle was a delight, and my team and I applauded her courage in initiating this process of change. This marked her first step toward transformation.
